Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn't you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are.
- Rachel Naomi Remen
I graduated from Finger Lakes School of Massage in December 2006 after working nearly 20 years in the Banking Industry. I didn't feel comfortable in the office setting anymore, and had the chance to spread my wings and explore the Holistic approach to healing for myself and others. I first became interested in massage and reiki after receiving Reiki for the first time at a Women's Retreat. Once I felt the peaceful feeling that reiki gave me, I wanted to be able to pass that feeling along to others. I believe in the healing power of touch. Heartfelt healing..
By the time I was attuned to level two reiki, I knew for sure I wanted to go to massage school and further my understanding of healing thru touch. Since I graduated from FingerLakes School of Massage, I was attuned to level 3 Reiki, but do not consider myself a "Reiki Master" in any way shape or form.
I integrate my sessions based on what the individual needs in that given moment. Everyone is an individual, and I'd like to respect that. No two massages are alike based on what you are feeling on that given day. I can use Swedish, connective tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, meridian massage, reiki, and hot stones – depending on your individual needs and wants.
